This week, we had the special treat of a visit from one of my college roommates. There are four of us that keep in touch, but only one lives in Michigan. Emily drove over from K-zoo, and we took all three boys to the Fredrick Meijer Gardens. If you have never visited their children's garden, you are missing out. The boys played so well together, and it was great to spend time with an old friend!
Jack and Owen, waiting at the children's gate.
Discovering the giant tree house.
Poor baby Ryan was dragged around all day. He was so patient with us!
Playing in the Great Lakes. This is an above ground water sculpture that explains to the kids how all the Great Lakes flow into each other. Awesome.
The bigger picture of the Lakes. I could not fit the whole view in my camera.
They have a giant sandbox area for the boys to dig. Last time we were there, we saw a snake!
It didn't take long for this to be their "bat cave to save the world."
Walking through the garden maze.
The bigger picture--again, I couldn't fit the whole view in my camera.
Someday... sigh... there will be a GIRLS TRIP with the 4 of us! Sans kids! Sans men!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Great pics. :) We need to go there next summer.
